CirrusClouds

The Hubble Space Telescope recently discovered a moon around trans-Neptunian dwarf planet 136472 Makemake (link below). So I decided to make a visit to Makemake last night before the dense cirrus clouds came in to CAV (cirrus cloud image above) while the object was high up in Coma Berenices. The dwarf planet is currently at 17th magnitude and moving slowly nearer disturbed galaxy NGC4747. I took two 20-minute lum exposures 1×1 (remotely) and made gif animations which show Makemake moving slowly towards galaxy NGC4747 with tidal tails. By July 4, Makemake will be in the same field as gorgeous galaxy NGC4725 just 4 arcmin away! Obviously, I didn’t record the new moon MK2. Hubble wins again! The other trans-Neptunian objects I have captured are Pluto, 2007 OR10 and Haumea (see website link below).
