Great Star Coral (Montastrea cavernosa) – Grecian Rocks, John Pennekamp St Park, Fl Keys
Coral heads lit up as we cruised overhead – entire populations of life feeding and surviving in the night. The closer we moved to any one area, the brighter the fluorescing animals would respond. Certain fluoro dives prove more difficult to locate subjects that provide nice, bright fluorescence response. As you can see by this picture, this was not one of those dives.
