Sharptail Eel (Myrichthys breviceps) – Blue Heron Bridge, Riviera Beach, Fl
I have only seen a few of these Sharptail Eels under the bridge – each time, I get so close to getting the picture I want, yet I never seem to accomplish the goal. They don’t move extremely fast, rather, very irregularly, making them difficult to line up for a shot. Sharptails can be seen disappearing beneath rubble where you wouldn’t expect there to be any room to hide. Sharptail Eels also have fluorescent attributes, but I have yet to see one on a fluoro-dive.
