Bareye Hermits can come in a huge range of sizes. This one, about the size of a baseball, was very curious about our bright blue fluoro lights as I struggled to figure out my system on one of our first fluorescence dives. Walking right up, he posed, showed me his colorful patchwork of algae that decorates his shell, then disappeared again into the night.
