Unidentified Nudibranch – Blue Heron Bridge, Riviera Beach, FL
While shooting a few images of a Western Dondice (Dondice occidentalis), I looked across the bed of Bugula and hydroids where my subjects were sitting and I saw two little patches – reddish hydroid-filled areas. Piquing my interest, I slipped over and came across two beautiful (albeit tiny ~5mm) nudibranchs sporting awesome red cerata (gills). Enjoying their hydroid buffet, I was able to snap off a few portraits but I have yet to identify the species. I believed, at first, that I was photographing a Flabellina Dushia, due to the red highlights, but I am still unsure
